Biography

Meron is a Legal Director in MLA’s Employment and Immigration Practice. Meron also manages the office’s marketing and business development. Prior to joining MLA, Meron worked in a criminal defense law firm in the United States for 5 years.

Education

• LL.B, Mekelle University, School of Law, Ethiopia (2009)
• LL.M,  Louisiana State University, Paul M. Herbert Law Center (2010)

Experience

• Drafting and/or localizing employment contracts and staff policy handbooks
• Drafting and reviewing collective agreements and work rules
• Drafting and reviewing consultancy agreements
• Advising on recruitment, employee transfers, retrenchment & redundancy, dismissal, health and safety, labor relations and trade unions
• Advising on variety of employment matters; such as, termination grounds, termination benefits, severance payments, etc.
• Conducting Legal Due Diligence and producing Due Diligence report on all employment matters.
• proposing and managing advertising
• promoting corporate relationships
• Coordinate scheduling and logistics
• Preparing brochures and other marketing and promotional materials
• Manages all internal and external communications
• Prepare proposals and pitching documents
• Organizing corporate events
