Feye Roba

Associate

Feye Roba is an Associate at MLA’s NGO and Corporate Practice Groups. She provides legal support to NGO/NPO clients on registration, organizational structuring and compliance issues. She also advises corporate clients on legal matters including incorporation, governance, regulatory compliance, and commercial transactions. Before joining MLA, she worked as an Assistant Lecturer at Haramaya University for a year. She also has an internship experience at Federal High Court and volunteered at Haramaya University free Legal Aid Center from 2018 to 2020.

Assisted local incorporation of international NGOs and drafted legal opinions for NGO clients on regulatory compliance, operation and employment matters.
Advised several NGOs on benefits and risks associated with incorporating a charitable organization in Ethiopia, including procedures, compliance and approval requirements.
Assisted incorporation of multinational companies by processing and obtaining the issuance, renewal, amendment and cancellation of commercial registration certificate, business license, investment permit and tax identification number certificates.
Conducted legal due diligence reports on a number of companies.
Advised numerous clients on different employment matters such as termination, severance pay and matter related to leave.
Assisted foreign companies in liquidation of local subsidiaries.
Drafted a Legal Opinion on regulatory frameworks governing employment in the Ethiopian Mining sector.
Drafted and reviewed employment contracts, policies, separation agreements ensuring legal compliance and risk mitigation.
