Liya Kurabachew is a trainee associate at Mehrteab & Getu Advocates LLP (MLA). She earned her LLB with great distinction from Addis Ababa University. At MLA, she assists clients with company incorporation, advises on corporate governance and statutory compliance, and drafts and reviews key corporate documents such as bylaws and internal regulations. She provides legal opinions on loan agreements and restructuring, procurement laws, data-privacy obligations, tax related issues and cross-border transactions, particularly on foreign-exchange matters, and guides clients through business dissolution and winding-up procedures.
